WineTasting and Food with the Grapevine Wine Services at the Central Bistro

Enjoy an evening with an expert from Grapevine Wine Services and sample 12 different glasses of wine, as well as a 2 course small plates menu. 

You will taste of four different grape varieties each with 3 different wine choices.   Ben Paxon of Grapevine will explain about each wine and then all you have to do is taste all 12 different wines and decide which is your favourite.

MENU AND DRINKS

Welcome wines from the Pinot Grigio grape

  • Mixed olives, feta and crostini bread

Presentation of wines from the Chardonnay grape

  • Smoked chicken, chorizo and spinach arancini balls with a basil pesto
  • King prawn and vegetable kebab Roquet leaves and caper dressing
  • Portobello mushrooms topped with red onion confit, avocado and Gruyere cheese
  • Duck and vegetable spring roll served with a hoi sin dip

Presented with salad and sweet potato fries

Prior to desserts presentation of sparkling wines

  • Rhubarb creme brulee
  • Lemon tart with a thyme ice cream
  • Pistachio and almond bakewell
  • Salted caramel banoffee pie

To enjoy after dinner presentation of wines from the Pinot Noir grape

The food here is always excellent, from presentation to taste and quality. Andrew and the staff always make you feel welcome and looked after. Tried the flaked salmon, crab and tomato risotto as a starter which was fab, will have this as a main next time!
