Celebrate Christmas at the Washington Central Hotel

Celebrate the season with a delicious 4-course Christmas Lunch served between 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. It’s the perfect setting to enjoy a memorable feast with friends and family, accompanied by a welcome drink to get you in the festive spirit!

Starters

• Cranberry and Lakes gin home-cured Scottish salmon with Norwegian prawn tian, pickled cucumber, tomato concasse, and a chive & lemon dressing.

• Pulled ham & chicken terrine topped with smooth chicken liver pâté, red onion & sultana jam, romesco, and Parmesan leaf.

• Pan-seared Gressingham duck breast with celeriac remoulade, honey & thyme glaze, chicory, and orange jus.

• Baked Camembert on croute with pickled beets, candied walnuts, and plum chutney.

• Garlic wild mushrooms with feta cheese, finished with chives and cream on homemade bloomer garlic toast.

Intermediate Courses

• Beef brisket French onion soup topped with Parmesan croutons.

• Passionfruit & mango sorbet as a lighter alternative.

Main Courses

• Traditional roast Eden Valley turkey with Cumberland sausage and bacon chipolatas, sage and onion stuffing rosette, homemade cranberry sauce, and seasonal pan juices.

• Grilled Atlantic cod loin with pan-fried salsify, pancetta, and a prawn butter sauce.

• Loin of Lakeland lamb with minted herb crumb, creamed Savoy cabbage & bacon, shallots, and red wine jus.

• 10oz W. Lindsay & Sons local grass-fed rib-eye steak with field mushrooms, balsamic cherry tomatoes, and peppercorn sauce.

• Celeriac au poivre: Pepped celeriac, baby spinach, hash brown, and mushroom sauce (V, VE).

Sides

Served with roasted carrots, honey parsnips, cauliflower cheese, Savoy cabbage with bacon, sprouts, roasted potatoes, and creamy mashed potatoes.

Dessert

Dessert will be from their special Christmas dessert menu, which sounds like the perfect way to end the meal!
