TASTE OF July Seasonal Menu

Available every day (not Sunday lunch) from 12.00 – 14.00 & 17.00 – 21.00

Taste of June is a monthly seasonal menu, celebrating seasonal and local ingredients brought to you by local suppliers and cooked to perfection by our hard working kitchen team!

The menu will change regularly to take advantage of the produce in season and keep the menu fresh and interesting!

Starters 

Cream of Cauliflower and Cheese Soup with roll and butter – £7.50 (GF an option)

Duck breast with pickled vegetables, wasabi peas and soy and ginger dressing – £11.50 (GF)

Chargrilled asparagus and spinach with soft poached egg and mustard dressing – £9.50 –  V GF

Torched mackerel fillet with sweet and sour beets, shallot rings and caper soured cream – £12.50 –  GF

Mains

Home Made diced beef, chestnut mushroom and baby onion shortcrust pastry pie with vegetables, mashed potato or chips and gravy – £19.00

Atlantic cod loin with BBQ sweet corn and purée, hash browns, bacon and sage tomato  sauce – £21.50 – GF

Chicken supreme, wild mushroom and broad bean risotto with chard asparagus and wholegrain mustard sauce  – £21.00 – GF

Rack of Lakeland lamb with Sweetbreads, ricotta croquettes, savoy cabbage with bacon and cherry jus –  £25.00

Grilled yellow courgette, pickled tomatoes and marinated feta flatbread with rocket leaves and a salsa Verde – £18.50 –  V VE

Cumberland sausage with black pudding mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, red onion gravy £16

Local Torpenhow Farmhouse Dairy Park House Cheddar 

Award-winning Park House Organic Cheddar won’t disappoint, with just the right degree of sharpness it is a wonderfully creamy, close-textured cheese with a mellow character and long-lasting mouthfeel

Binsey Red 

This Red Leicester-style cheese has been named after Binsey, the northernmost of the ‘Wainwrights’ Lake District fells and the closest to Park House Farm. Binsey Red is a firm cheese

Darling Howe Brie 

Pristine white round has a classic nutty flavour pottery soft centre with a distinct citrus note
